In the Pacific Coast League:

Corona del Mar 8, Costa Mesa 2--Alissa Zoelle hit two triples and a home run for the Sea Kings (14-10, 7-3), who finished second in league. Costa Mesa (12-10-1, 6-4) finished in third place.

In Pacific Coast League baseball:

University 13, Estancia 4--Jay Nichols went four for four with two home runs, a double and six runs batted in for University (17-8-1, 11-3-1).

In the Serra League:

Servite 9, No. 2 Mater Dei 7--The Friars (12-11-1, 5-7), who have won nine of their last 11 games, don’t qualify for an automatic playoff berth after finishing third in league behind Mater Dei (22-4, 10-2) and Santa Margarita.

Servite pitcher Steve Kahn struck out five in 6 2/3 innings and drove in two runs. Pete Eastman hit a two-run home run and finished with three RBIs.

In the Empire League boys’ tennis finals:

Modoc wins--Sergiu Modoc of El Dorado defeated Loara’s James Skuratofsky, 6-1, 6-0, to win the league singles title. Modoc and Jacob Denney won the league’s doubles title, defeating Cypress’ Danny Seo and Steven Van Smaalen, 6-1, 6-3.

In the Orange League:

Lu wins--Felix Lu of Savanna defeated Ibrahim Ouakedi of Magnolia, 6-1, 5-7, 6-1. Steven Park and Tejas Desai of Valencia won in doubles over teammates Minh Pham and Phuc Giang, 6-2, 6-2.
