Even Santa Claus is wired. The big guy now accepts letters via e-mail.
At https://www.claus.com, children can type up their Christmas lists and send it to the North Pole instantly. After receiving a letter, Freddy Fast ‘n Quick--the site’s Postmaster Elf--sends out a confirmation e-mail indicating that he delivered it to Santa.
Santa replies with one of 25 automated responses about four days later.
When sending their letter, children must submit a parent’s e-mail address in addition to their own. The site will send parents an e-mail notifying them that their child has written to Santa.
Children also can track Santa’s trip around the world by calling his sleigh phone on Christmas Eve.
Give him a ring Dec. 24, and an automated Santa will tell you where he is flying. The service costs $4.95 for four calls.
