Reward Offered for Tips in Dog Mutilation Case

An animal rights organization offered a $1,000 reward Wednesday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever doused a dog with acid and snipped off part of its ear.
A German shepherd was found wandering near 79th Street in mid-June with an acid burn on its back and part of an ear missing. The dog has been placed with a family.
