El Segundo in Semifinals

El Segundo advanced to today’s semifinals of the Babe Ruth Baseball World Series (ages 13-15) with a 17-1, five-inning victory over host Connersville, Ind., on Wednesday in the final round of pool play.
El Segundo (4-0) will play Tallahassee, Fla., at 2:30 p.m. today. The winner advances to the championship game on Saturday against the winner of Beaverton, Ore., and Millard West, Neb.
