Man Sentenced to Die for Slaying

A judge sentenced a San Bernardino man to death for the execution-style slaying of a Palm Springs man in 1999.
Christopher Poore, 32, was convicted of first-degree murder with special circumstances in the death of Mark Kulikov, 42. Jurors also found Poore guilty of burglary, robbery and gun possession.
Poore’s defense attorney, John Hemmer, had argued that witnesses were not credible.
