Skakel Murder Trial to Be Moved to Norwalk

The murder trial of Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel will be held in Norwalk because a new courthouse in Stamford will not be ready, court officials said.
Superior Court Judge John Kavanewsky Jr. had ordered jury selection to begin April 2.
Court spokeswoman Rhonda Stearley-Hebert said that Norwalk was the best location to accommodate the families of Skakel, 41, and the victim, Martha Moxley, as well as the nearly 50 media organizations planning to cover the trial.
Skakel, a nephew of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, has pleaded not guilty to killing Moxley with a golf club in 1975.
