A motorcyclist riding between lanes in heavy traffic was killed when a pickup truck apparently turned into the bike, police said Saturday.
Roger McCarty, 49, of Riverside was eastbound on the Riverside Freeway in Anaheim about 5:10 p.m. Friday, a California Highway Patrol supervisor said.
Traffic was moving about 10 mph, the CHP said.
A pickup truck changed lanes and collided with McCarty’s motorcycle, the supervisor said.
McCarty was pronounced dead from chest injuries at 6:40 p.m. at Kaiser Permanente Anaheim Medical Center, police said.
The pickup truck driver, whom officers did not identify, was not injured, the supervisor said.
