Coastal Agency Gives City $1.8 Million for Lake

The California Coastal Conservancy will give the city $1.8 million to improve water quality and wildlife habitat at Laguna Lake.
The money will help pay for a $2.3-million project to start this summer. It includes removing about 4 feet of sediment from the bottom, enlarging a feeder channel, widening Break Creek and adding a filtration system.
Once the lake is restored, the California Department of Fish and Game will resume stocking it.
