Update--Defenseman Keith Carney is doubtful because of a deep cut on his right elbow suffered in Thursday’s game against Phoenix. The Ducks recalled defenseman Aris Brimanis from minor league Cincinnati. The Canucks are pushing for a playoff spot, having won seven of nine games. Vancouver has allowed only 14 goals in its last nine games. Duck defenseman Oleg Tverdovsky, whose consecutive-games played streak ended at 363 Wednesday because of a groin injury, did not skate with the team Friday but is hoping to play tonight. A Duck victory would move them past Nashville into 13th place in the Western Conference.
