Man Armed With Shotgun Robs Bank

A man in a black trench coat used a shotgun to rob a bank Monday, forcing the manager into the vault for cash, then scooping up money from teller stations.
No one was injured in the holdup at a World Savings branch on South State College Boulevard shortly before 11 a.m., police said. They did not disclose how much money was taken.
FBI officials described the robber as in his 30s, 5-foot-7, 150 pounds, with wavy, long black hair. Witnesses did not report seeing any getaway vehicle.
Julie McWilliams of the FBI said shotguns are used in only a small percentage of bank robberies. “It’s extremely rare,” she said.
