‘Blue’ creators developing new series for HBO

HBO has both co-creators of “NYPD Blue” working on dramatic series for the pay channel, with producer Steven Bochco closing a deal on a long-in-development project that would unfold entirely in the bedroom of a married couple.
The pay service has committed to the series, which likely won’t premiere until 2004. All the action would be set in the bedroom, bathroom and closet area, providing an intimate look at a single relationship.
David Milch, Bochco’s “NYPD Blue” collaborator, is working on his own HBO series, “Deadwood,” a western mixing fictional and real-life characters.
In addition to the new show, Bochco is developing a futuristic police drama for Fox. “NYPD Blue” was also recently renewed for an 11th season by ABC.
