Australian Forward Signs With UC Irvine

Nic Campbell, a 6-foot-6 forward from Australia, has signed with UC Irvine and will be eligible to play as a freshman in the coming season. Campbell is averaging 17 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Australian Institute of Sport, which is competing in the South East Australian Basketball League playoffs.

* Amanda Patton, a three-time all-Foothill League selection in girls’ basketball at Newhall Hart, has committed to Loyola Marymount. She’s a 5-9 senior guard.
