Rapids Clinch Playoff Berth

DENVER — Chris Carrieri scored in the 87th minute as the Colorado Rapids clinched a playoff berth with a 3-2 victory over the Dallas Burn Sunday night.

Chris Henderson and Zach Kingsley added goals for the Rapids, who needed three points with the victory to secure a playoff spot. Colorado (12-11-3) lost two of its previous three games.

Eddie Johnson and Antonio Martinez scored goals for Dallas (11-7-7), which lost for the second time in six games.
