15,000 Flee Fighting; Aid Workers Leave

Fighting between rebels and government forces in Liberia has forced 15,000 people to flee to neighboring Guinea in the last two days, a U.N. official said.
The U.N.’s resident coordinator in Liberia said 15,000 Liberians and refugees from civil war in Ivory Coast who had been sheltering in the northern region of Nimba County fled to Guinea.
Aid agencies are being forced to trim staff and leave huge swaths of the West African nation after three humanitarian workers were killed last week.
