Boeing plane -- A Bloomberg News article in Wednesday’s Business section about Boeing Co.’s new 7E7 jetliner incorrectly reported that the company’s plans to sell the plane were running months later than originally expected. In fact, Boeing said the program for the jet remained on schedule.
Boeing has shopped the plane to 40 airlines and still expects deliveries to begin in 2008. Boeing decided to design the 7E7 after scrapping plans last year to build a plane that would travel at almost the speed of sound.
Shares of Chicago-based Boeing rose 61 cents to $25.67 on the NYSE.
