Rethink Decision on Backyard Pit

Re “Digging Into Heritage,” Dec. 28:
I am compassionate, well-educated and part Cherokee. I am disturbed at the injustice committed against landlord Edward Sanchez. What right does a renter have to dig a 6-foot pit on Sanchez’s property? Do Cecilia Garcia’s actions reflect the “values” of the Chumash Indians?
The Los Angeles Superior Court judges and citizens need to review Commissioner Thomas H. Parrot’s actions.
In the meantime, with his view of private property, Garcia should consider expanding her influence by digging a pit in Parrott’s frontyard.
