Monsanto Faces Price-Fixing Probe

Monsanto Co. said the government was investigating possible price fixing in the market for the basic ingredient of the company’s top-selling Roundup weedkiller.
Monsanto said the Justice Department had initiated an inquiry about “possible anti-competitive conduct in the glyphosate industry.”
The company reaffirmed its full-year earnings-per-share guidance of $1.20 to $1.40.
Monsanto shares fell $2.51 to $14.07 on the New York Stock Exchange.
