* Matt Dominguez, Chatsworth: The freshman hit two home runs, including the game-winning solo homer in the bottom of the seventh inning, in a 6-5 semifinal victory over North Las Vegas Cheyenne in the Las Vegas Durango tournament. Freshman Mike Moustakas struck out five in five innings in his first pitched game for the No. 4 Chancellors in a 12-0 victory over Henderson (Nev.) Coronado in the championship.

* Matt Morris, Anaheim Canyon: Was two for four with a double, two runs scored and four runs batted in for the No. 3 Comanches in a 13-6 victory over visiting Newhall Hart in the third-place game of the Anaheim Canyon/Orange El Modena tournament.

* Sean Kelley, Corona: Had two hits and drove in the winning run in the eighth inning for the No. 22 Panthers in a 5-4 victory over Claremont in the first round of the Norco tournament.

SOFTBALL

* Ashley Weber, Santa Ana Mater Dei: Hit a home run and scored both runs, including the game-winner on a two-out triple by Kristen Pocock in the sixth inning, for the No. 3 Monarchs in a 2-1 Serra League victory over La Puente Bishop Amat.

BOYS’ TENNIS

* Doug Cristobal and Jeff Ly, Rosemead Bosco Tech: Swept, 6-3, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 1 doubles for the host Tigers in a 12-6 Camino Real League win over Pasadena La Salle.
