Re “Plea Deal for Ex-Chief of Film Agency,” May 25: Cody Cluff cops a plea and goes to prison, and City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo and Councilwoman Wendy Greuel quickly declare that with Cluff’s plea this chapter is closed and behind us.
Is that a collective sigh of relief I hear coming from those elected officials who failed in their oversight responsibilities and yet are permitted to walk away with hefty campaign contributions? As with other problems currently being reported in the news, accountability does not go very far up the chain of command.
