From Times Wire Reports
The attorney for mass-murder suspect Marcus Wesson obtained a two-month delay in the trial’s start, saying the time was needed for him to review thousands of pages of new evidence.
Judge R.L. Putnam delayed the trial from June 21 to August 31, agreeing that attorneys should have more time to prepare.
The results of tests showing that Wesson’s hands were clear of gunshot residue were recently turned over to the defense, according to a court document filed Wednesday by Wesson’s attorney.
