Re “Entree Comes With Familiar Side of Governor,” March 2: Like our governor, I’m all for improving education in California by initiative.
Show me the petitions seeking to boost per-pupil spending and decrease class sizes to at least the national average.
I will also immediately sign any petition that mandates hiring counselors and librarians in numbers comparable to other states’, provides reading and math interventions for struggling students, requires minimum attendance to pass to the next grade and gives teachers and principals more power to remove chronically disruptive students from classrooms. My pen is ready.
