Whimsy finds a colorful home

RE “Is This Paint Job a Joke? More Like Revenge,” [March 17]: This world is in sore need of more whimsy! Dave Vendig is my hero for introducing just that to his little corner of our planet. The architecture of his home and his Silver Lake address require those marvelous colors and “bubbles.” Makes me smile. After reading that Ms. Whitten plans to paint the house a “shade of coffee” (borrrring), I don’t wonder that Dave had a hankering to climb Mt. Fuji. Alone.
