U.S. News & World Report magazine has named Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa one of America’s “25 Best Leaders,” praising him for blending “the idealism of the 1960s, when all things seemed possible, with the realism of the 21st century, when it’s clearer what is possible.”
Villaraigosa, 52, was among a diverse roster that included New York Times columnist Thomas L. Friedman, Fox News Chairman and Chief Executive Roger Ailes, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey and Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates.
