Holiday closures

Today is Labor Day. The following schedules will be in effect:

Riverside County

Schools: No classes will be held at public schools, UC Riverside, Riverside Community College, College of the Desert, Mt. San Jacinto College or Palo Verde College.

Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.

Libraries: County and most city facilities will be closed.

Public transportation: The Riverside Transit Agency will run on a Sunday schedule; the Sunline Transit Agency will run on a normal schedule.

Trash collection: Trash will be picked up one day late.

Banks: Most will be closed.

Government: City, county and federal offices and courts will be closed.

San Bernardino County

Schools: No classes will be held at public schools, community colleges, Loma Linda University, Crafton Hills College, Barstow Community College, Cal State San Bernardino or the University of Redlands.

Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.

Libraries: County and most city facilities will be closed.

Public transportation: Omnitrans and Victorville Transit will not run. Metrolink trains will not run. Information: (800) 371-LINK.

Banks: Most will be closed.

Government: City, county and federal offices and courts will be closed.

Los Angeles County

Offices: All city, county, state and federal offices and courts will be closed.

Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.

Libraries: Most will be closed.

Banks: Most will be closed.

Schools: Public campuses will be closed.

Public transportation: MTA buses and Metro Rail lines will run on a reduced Sunday schedule. No Metrolink trains will run.

Trash collection: There will be none. Pickups will be delayed one day throughout the week.
