Times Names a New Advertising Chief

Dave Murphy, executive vice president and general manager of the Los Angeles Times, will take over management of the newspaper’s advertising department, Times Publisher Jeff Johnson said.
Todd Brownrout, The Times’ senior vice president of advertising since October 2004, will leave the company, Johnson said in a statement.
Johnson said the change was made to “improve our speed to market and improve our customer and revenue development.”
Brownrout could not be reached for comment.
