AMR Corp.’s American Airlines, Delta Air Lines Inc. and Continental Airlines Inc. raised round-trip fares $10 on most domestic flights to take advantage of strong travel demand.
US Airways Group Inc. also raised prices, and UAL Corp.’s United Airlines and Northwest Airlines Corp. are studying the move, spokesmen said.
The new fares are the first broad-based boost since British authorities disrupted an alleged terrorist plot against airlines Aug. 10.
