We take sizzle over the steak

I find it interesting that Tuesday’s sports section has larger pictures of those big L.A. sports figures Paris Hilton and Jack Nicholson than it does of, say, UCLA basketball Coach Ben Howland.

I guess L.A. is nothing if not a company town, but maybe that’s also why there’s no NFL team in L.A. -- it would distract us from the really important things and you couldn’t find Paris and Jack in the crowd.
