Obese inmate’s appeal rejected

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected an appeal from a state prison inmate who argued that he is too obese to be executed. Richard Cooey is scheduled to be put to death today.
Cooey, 41, is 5-foot-7 and weighs 267 pounds. He has one more appeal pending. Cooey raped and killed two college students in 1986.
