Update -- The Sparks made only 16 of 52 shots (30.8%) in Game 2 and, for the second consecutive game, no player scored more than 11 points. The guards were particularly ineffective, converting four of 20 shots. The Sparks’ bench, which outscored the Storm, 32-17, in Game 1, was limited to 11 points on three-for-17 shooting. Seattle forward Sheryl Swoopes, 37, scored 16 points, her second-highest output this season. Should the Sparks win tonight, they will open the Western Conference finals Thursday against San Antonio at USC’s Galen Center.
