at New York 9, Baltimore 1: Alex Rodriguez hit a home run in his fourth consecutive game, a two-run shot in the first inning, Mark Teixeira hit his fourth home run in four games and the Yankees won their seventh game in a row. It was the 558th home run for Rodriguez.
at Boston 2, Toronto 1: Tim Wakefield (5-2) held the Blue Jays to one run -- a home run by former teammate Kevin Millar -- over eight innings.
Oakland 4, at Tampa Bay 1 (11 innings): Matt Holliday hit a three-run home run during a four-run 11th inning to lift the Athletics.
at Chicago 6, Minnesota 2: Paul Konerko and Jermaine Dye hit home runs and Mark Buehrle (6-1) gave up two runs in eight innings to help the White Sox end a skid at five games.
At Kansas City 6, Cleveland 5: Mike Jacobs and Mark Teahen hit consecutive home runs against closer Kerry Wood (1-2) and Willie Bloomquist capped a four-run ninth inning with a game-winning sacrifice fly.
Angels 6, at Seattle 5: Bobby Abreu had three hits and two RBIs and Matt Palmer improved to 5-0.
