Update: After splitting the first two games of this five-game trip, the Kings will pass the halfway point of their journey in Nashville, where they’re 11-7-3-1 since the Predators joined the NHL for the 1998-99 season. This starts a back-to-back sequence for the Kings, who have split their previous four back-to-back sets. They’ve lost six of their last eight road games and rank near the bottom of the NHL with 12 road points (6-9-0). Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne has nearly recovered from arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and might return Saturday after missing seven games.
