Brush fire shuts down two lanes of 5 Freeway in Castaic

Two northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in Castaic have been shut down as firefighters battle a 150-acre brush fire burning alongside the roadway, authorities said.
The fire broke out about 1:30 p.m. north of Templin Highway, according to the Angeles National Forest’s Twitter page.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage, authorities said.
As of 2:30 p.m., the fire was 20% contained, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The two northbound lanes of the freeway will remain closed indefinitely, authorities said.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
