(Columbia - Sony Pictures / Associated Press) The attorney for actress Katie Holmes said the actress plans to keep her pending divorce from Tom Cruise, her husband of six years, as private as possible. “The reports about an emergent filing last Friday are incorrect. Other than her action for divorce, the only pending application filed by Ms. Holmes remains her request for an anonymous caption,” her attorney said. “Anonymous caption,” for you non-lawyers, means papers are filed with initials only, or sans names entirely, making the case harder for journalists and other interested parties to track through the court system, attorney Michael Stutman, a New York divorce specialist, told Buzzfeed.
