The Beverly Hills Post Office area home of producer David Ladd and his wife, actress Dey Young, is coming on the market at $5,995,000.
The gated house, which looks more East Coast than West, sits on wooded 1.1 acres with a swimming pool, a lighted tennis court, canyon views, a motor court and a guesthouse. The two-story home, built in 1937, has five bedrooms and five bathrooms in 5,536 square feet. There is a library pub, a sun room, staff quarters for two, French doors and hardwood floors.
The property has been listed alternately for sale or lease since 2007, when it was listed at $7,850,000.
Ladd, 62, the son of leading man Alan Ladd, started acting with his father as a child. His career has included stints working in production for ABC Television, as a creative executive at Columbia and as executive vice president of production at MGM.
Young, 53, has 30 years of acting credits including a recurring role on “Melrose Place” (1992-1999) and guest appearances on “Jag” in 2005 and “The Young and the Restless” in 2008.
Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Previews International, Beverly Hills, has the listing.
