Economic water marks
The U.S. economy is in the tank, we’re swimming in debt, nobody will float a loan, mortgages are underwater and everyone wants to waterboard AIG execs. But the fiscal storm is also global, and cartoonists everywhere are immersed in it. Austria’s Pismestrovic used dry humor to crack me up. Germany’s Sakurai seized a high-seas metaphor to make a point about our Third World neighbors’ dampened spirits. And Australia’s Moir sized up the impact of it all on a former miracle man. Now excuse me while I check my drained 401(k).
