Baseball: Chatsworth relies on power of Josh Garcia, Tommy Palomera

Pitchers Josh Garcia and Tommy Palomera of Chatsworth High also can hit. They had home runs on Saturday to support the pitching of Ryan Roche in an 11-0 win over Oak Hills in the St. Paul tournament.
Max Mehlbaum added three RBIs.
La Mirada 7, Alhambra 0: Dante Mancia threw a four-hit shutout.
Hart 19, South Torrance 3: Matt Elser and Robert Reeves had two doubles apiece.
Crescenta Valley 5-2, Chula Vista Mater Dei 0-1: Max Meyer threw a two-hit shutout in the first game for the Falcons. He had a no-hitter for six innings.
Capistrano Valley 7, King 5: Connor Martin and Austin Moreira had two hits apiece.
Aliso Niguel 4, Torrance 3: Aliso Niguel got the winning run on a throwing error.
Valencia 5, Buena 0: Damien Balboa threw six shutout innings.
Bonita 13, Pacific Grove 0: Nick Johnson threw a no-hitter in his first start of the season. Bonita (10-1) also defeated St. John Bosco, 4-1, behind Jordan Dreschler, who threw a six-hitter.
Dana Hills 4, Murrieta Valley 0: Brad Gartlan threw a one-hitter.
Woodbridge 4, Brea 2: Woodbridge opened tournament action with a victory.
