Baseball: Poly Classic begins Friday

The City Section baseball season, moved up by two weeks, picks up steam on Friday with the start of the Poly Classic.
The opening games: Cleveland at Poly, Marshall at Kennedy, Roosevelt at Wilson, Bell at Sylmar, Garfield at Verdugo Hills, Van Nuys at Franklin, North Hollywood at San Pedro, Grant at Fairfax, University at Monroe, Taft at Venice.
A top game on Saturday has Kennedy at Cleveland at 11 a.m.
