There’s a new big man on the campus of Beverly Hills High.
Ron Artest III, a 6-foot-7 junior who played last season at Palisades and is the son of the Lakers forward, has transferred to Beverly Hills, Normans Coach Jarvin Turner confirmed on Saturday. Artest enrolled on Wednesday.
It’s the second consecutive season Beverly Hills has picked up a big man. Last season, 6-11 Chance Comanche transferred from View Park. He’s now at Arizona.
“He’s raw and definitely needs some polishing, but he’s all over the rim and a great rebounder,” Turner said. “I think he can develop into a pretty good player.”
