Football: Alemany forfeits victory over Garfield because of ineligible player

Alemany has been forced to forfeit its 42-12 season-opening victory over Garfield because of an ineligible player.
The player was lineman Massaman Ladji Bagayoko, who played last season after transferring from Canada. It was learned he should have been a senior last season. He played against Garfield, assistant principal Randy Thompson said.
Alemany drops to 0-3 and Garfield improves to 2-1.
