Football: Calabasas submits Darnay Holmes’ transfer paperwork

Calabasas High has submitted transfer paperwork to the CIF Southern Section for former Newbury Park standout Darnay Holmes just days before the Coyotes open their season on Friday against Canyon Country Canyon.
Whether he’ll be cleared in time to play remains to be seen.
Calabasas has been asked by Southern Section Commissioner Rob Wigod to review recent transfers of football players. More than 25 have checked in since the hiring of Casey Clausen as coach in December of 2013.
“We’re reviewing all the Calabasas transfers with the school to see that all diligence was properly completed by the receiving school,” Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons said.
