Football: Locke, Oxnard Santa Clara are latest schools to cancel games
- Share via
Locke from the City Section and Oxnard Santa Clara from the Southern Section are the latest schools to cancel their remaining football games because of depleted rosters.
Locke forfeited its Coliseum League game last week against Los Angeles and will not play its final two games, City Section Commissioner John Aguirre said.
Santa Clara won’t play its final two games.
L.A. Jordan, Animo South Los Angeles and Peninsula also have forfeited their remaining games as rosters dropped because of injuries or academic issues.
In another sign of dwindling numbers, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame forfeited its sophomore game against Loyola on Thursday after injuries left the Knights with too few players.
