Football: What a season for South Gate QB Miguel Guerra

Miguel Guerra, a 5-foot-9 senior quarterback at South Gate, has been doing everything but carry the water bottles this season.
He has passed for 1,774 yards and 16 touchdowns with two interceptions and also rushed for 712 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Last week against Huntington Park, he was 12 of 14 passing for 245 yards and three touchdowns. But it was his 60-yard touchdown run (see above) that had everyone talking.
South Gate is 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the Eastern League. It figures to play Garfield for the league title on Nov. 6 at Garfield.
