3. C.C. CANYON
(12-2, Northern); Northern Division champion upset Concord De La Salle to close season.
4. LONG BEACH POLY
(11-2, Pac-5); Only twice did Southland’s toughest defense give up as many as two touchdowns.
5. EDISON
(11-3, Pac-5); Hunter White, Dominique Vinson were two-way stars for Pac-5 runner-up.
6. SANTA MARGARITA
(10-3, Pac-5); Eagles beat, in the same season, Long Beach Poly, Mater Dei and Mission
Viejo.
7. S.O. NOTRE DAME
(11-1, Pac-5); Pursuit of perfect record fell victim to the remarkably difficult Pac-5 playoffs.
8. MISSION VIEJO
(9-3, Pac-5); Brian Lockridge, Keegan Gogerty were outstanding in a potent offense.
9. MATER DEI
(8-3, Pac-5); Gave up 17 or more points only three times, with season high of 24 to Orange Lutheran.
10. RIVERSIDE NORTH
(14-0, Eastern); Mike Clausen was nearly perfect with 19 touchdown passes, one interception.
11. NORCO
(12-2, Inland); One of state’s biggest offensive lines, averaging 284 pounds; also one of the best.
12. SERVITE
(8-4, Pac-5); Linebacker Chris Galippo had starring role; Friars were the only team to beat Orange Lutheran.
13. DOMINGUEZ
(13-1, Western); Brandon Johnson paced Dons to second straight title, 26 wins in 28 games.
14. MOORPARK
(11-3, Northern); Junior tailback Darrell Scott scored 46 touchdowns and rushed for 3,194 yards.
15. CORONA CENTENNIAL
(11-1, Inland); Junior tailback Ryan Bass averaged three touchdowns, 213.7 yards rushing a game.
16. EL DORADO
(13-1, Southwest) ; Golden Hawks were perfect after losing their opener to Esperanza.
17. BIRMINGHAM
(11-3, City) ; Junior tailback Milton Knox led the Patriots to third City title in five years.
18. REDLANDS
(12-1, Inland) ; Terriers’ perfect season was ended by Inland champion Norco in overtime.
19. ST. BONAVENTURE
(10-2, Northern); Unfortunately for Seraphs, defining moment of this season was a 59-13 loss to Oaks Christian.
20. SAN CLEMENTE
(8-3, Pac-5); With RB Josh Ferrell, Tritons’ only losses were to teams ranked eighth or higher.
21. CHAPARRAL
(11-3, Inland) ; Talmadge Jackson was one of Southland’s most dangerous running, receiving threats.
22T. WEST TORRANCE
(12-1-1, Western); Brian Baucham, Anthony Spadafino helped West reach first title game since 1982.
22T. HART
(8-5, Northern); Bad season by Hart standards still yielded a stunning upset of St. Bonaventure.
24. CRESPI
(6-5, Pac-5); Celts, and outstanding receiver/defensive end D.J. Holt, had state’s toughest schedule.
25T. ESPERANZA
(9-2, Pac-5); Aztecs had a disappointing finish but had a terrific runner in senior Charles Neal.
25T. WESTLAKE
(12-1, Northern); Lineman Tyrone Duncan and linebacker Chase Calderon led tough Warriors defense.
