Update: The major Kings catalyst has been center Mike Richards, who has scored goals in five consecutive games. He has 10 goals and 19 points in 22 games and Kings defenseman Drew Doughty was recently talking about the hockey sense of Richards, especially in short-handed situations. “He’s smart. He’s good at reading where the puck is going,” Doughty said. “He pretends he doesn’t know where it’s going and at the last second puts his stick out there and picks off a pass. I didn’t know he was that fast.”
