Update: This is the finale of a six-game homestand for the Kings, who are 3-1-1 in this stretch. Overall, they have points in 10 of their last 11 games (7-1-3). They’ve killed 37 straight penalties, dating to Dec. 17 at Detroit, and are nine from tying their club record, set in 2001-02. They’ve also killed 84 of their last 87 penalties (96.6%) and have given up only six goals in their last seven games. Defenseman Slava Voynov remains day-to-day because of an undisclosed injury. The Stars reached the halfway point of the season after a 5-2 loss at the Ducks on Tuesday and are slightly behind their 2010-11 pace. They were 24-13-4 halfway through last season. Winger Jamie Benn has points in five straight games, with four goals and 10 points in that span.
