Gardena Serra’s Caleb Wilson to join father at USC

Caleb Wilson, son of USC defensive line coach Chris Wilson, said he will join the Trojans as a walk-on tight end in the fall.
Wilson, who played quarterback and tight end during his senior season at Gardena Serra, had committed to Old Dominion as a quarterback.
The Trojans have a commitment from Moraga Campolindo tight end Tyler Petite.
Wilson, 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds, said he could not pass up the opportunity at USC.
“[It’s] close to home, I’ll be able to play with my father and some fellow Serra guys,” he said.
USC has four former Serra players: quarterback Jalen Greene, cornerback Adoree’ Jackson, linebacker Olajuwon Tucker and walk-on cornerback Jalen Jones.
Serra linebacker John Houston and defensive lineman Rasheem Green are expected to announce Wednesday that they will attend USC.
