This locale has themed gates, an Estonian bog and a book exchange -- all of which make passengers feel as if they’re at home. There are bean bag chairs, free sleep pods, and what some describe as the “comfiest waiting areas” ever experienced.

Missed connections, weather delays and technical difficulties -- any or all can mean having to catch some shut-eye in an airport. These are the top 10 to slumber in, according to the annual survey by The Guide to Sleeping in Airports.
This airport converted one of its gate areas into an overnight rest area with footrests and lots of padded benches. But if that doesn’t sway you, good food and a few cultural attractions might.

Totem poles, art and carvings proudly flank this airport’s corridors. Other amenities include a saltwater aquarium, great restaurants and a hotel that connects to the airport outside of security.

This airport houses the country’s biggest Imax theater. Dining options are varied for different budgets, and there is a designated sleeping area at one end of the terminal and a relaxation room downstairs from Gates 23 and 25.

When you think of this airport, think leather recliners and rocking chairs in a stunning, spacious and naturally lit area. Also think charging points around every turn, fast and free Wi-Fi, and sleep pods. There is also a free quiet room near Gate 31.

The airport has reclining chairs tucked away behind soothing waterfalls, as well as a movie theater, butterfly garden and fish spa. And if sleeping is a priority, free massage chairs and nap rooms inside fee-based lounges exist, as do three transit hotels nearby.
