Web Buzz: WeVideo

Did you shoot video of last summer’s trip to Africa? A better question might be, did your trip mate shoot better video? WeVideo allows collaborative video editing in Cloud.
Name: WeVideo, https://www.wevideo.com
What it does: No need to bring your laptop on your next trip just for the video editing software. WeVideo supports the cutting and pasting of film in Cloud, so you can use your closest Internet cafe or hotel business center.
What’s hot: Several people can upload video from the same trip into one collaborative project. That’s great, especially if your newfound friend on your Kenya safari nabbed a better lion’s roar than you did. WeVideo can output your video to YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and Twitter once you have a finished product.
What’s not: Editing a collection of videos with your friends is exciting, but make sure one of them likes to do the editing work. Everyone who uploads will need a free account, but one paid account will be necessary if you have more than five contributors.
Cost: You can tinker free at the basic level, but monthly rates for expanded service start at $4.99 a month, or $49.99 a year.
Worth it: Yes, tinker now. WeVideo is planning on releasing a single-event package that might be more appealing than a monthly plan.
