What: The Perry Ellis Spring 2012 men’s runway show.
Where: Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center.
Inspiration: Creative Director John Crocco was inspired by ‘An American safari in a painted desert.’
What that meant: Lightweight linens and cottons, a color palette rooted in neutral shades with pops of desert sage, clay and chamomile. Key items included safari-ready cropped pants, a goat suede shirt and sweaters inspired by desert landscapes.
Perfect for: Well-dressed denizens of the dunes looking to keep things light and laid-back.
