Baseball: Forfeits won’t cost Oxnard a playoff berth

Oxnard forfeited five victories after several players were found to have played in a Sunday adult league, but the Yellowjackets will still qualify for the Southern Section Division I playoffs as the fourth-place entrant from the Pacific View League because of a new at-large rule in effect this year.

The Yellowjackets are 15-11 overall and 8-7 in league play following a 22-0 victory over Oxnard Pacifica on Thursday.
